The FIRST TIME you burn your new candle, don't blow it out until it reaches near the edge of the jar. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why? Almost as if the candle knows where it got to last time it won't melt any further than the last burn!Also, this will mean you'll be giving off more scent which comes from the wide melted pool of wax.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if I blew it out too soon? Not to worry, use a spoon to scrape down the residue near the edge so that it burns with the next burn (careful not to swamp the wick).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How long to burn a candle for? In a standard sized candle of mine this may take around 3 hours. General rule of thumb is an hour per inch of diameter. However for a standard 30cl jar, aim not to keep it burning longer than 4 hours.

�I LOVE candles and love the joy they bring as a gift or to the home. By Jane Studio started life as a joyful craft outside of my job in tech, although lately I’ve enjoyed growing it into a small business to share these scents and help our day feel brighter.��⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I have always loved to burn wonderfully-scented candles at the end of the day, a little mindful luxury of mine. Whilst shopping to replenish my candles one day many that I loved felt a little expensive for this purpose. So I decided to learn to make my own so that I could burn as many as I liked.��After a course in candle-making and a year researching and testing them, I successfully made my own and then friends wanted to enjoy them too.��I work full time in e-commerce but I so enjoy running this small, artisan business outside of it. When customers leave heart-warming reviews, it makes the long hours worth every minute as I feel I’m making someone’s day brighter.�⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm gearing up for Christmas scents now, oh my home smells of cinnamon and pine already!
